About Us — The ShiftSupport Story
ShiftSupport began with something close to home. We watched our highschoolers in our family try to balance, school, homework, extra curriculars, and the pressure to earn a little extra money. They wanted jobs, but the schedules were rigid. The hours to work were interfering with studying, their education suffered.
At the same time, we saw local retailers facing the opposite problem.They didn’t always need someone for a full shift, sometimes they just needed an extra pair of hands for an hour or two. A rush of customers, a last‑minute delivery, a messy stockroom, or an unexpected call‑out could throw their entire day off.
Two groups with opposite needs, living in the same neighborhoods, yet unable to connect.
ShiftSupport was created to bridge that gap.
We built a platform where retailers can request short, flexible shifts —usually under three hours — and where students, gig workers, and anyone needing adaptable work can pick up opportunities that fit their lives, not disruptthem. No long commitments. No impossible schedules. Just simple, local,flexible work.
Our mission is rooted in that original insight: Help young people earn without compromising their education, while giving local retailers the support they need to thrive.
Today, ShiftSupport empowers communities by making work more accessible,more flexible, and more human. We believe that when people can contribute on their own terms, everyone benefits — students stay focused, retailers stay supported, and neighborhoods stay strong.
